Mamonde is fast becoming one of my favourite go-to affordable skincare brands and from experience, the Mamonde Rose Water Toner is quite impressive for different uses. That’s good news for those of you who want something hydrating that is more wallet-friendly! Recently, Mamonde (pronounced ‘ma-mond’ no fancy ‘eh’ at the end) launched something that intrigued me – more Mamonde Flower Water Toners.

Most of us are already familiar with Mamonde’s Rose Water Toner, and I know it is a crowd favourite. Seizing upon that, Mamonde has now enlarged their range with 5 other different toners to suit different skin needs. I realized I hadn’t told you about the Mamonde Rose Water Toner, so it was time to remedy that.

I unfortunately lost my SD-Card with all my fancy photos I took earlier of all the 5 Mamonde Flower Toners available (accidentally threw it away! Lots of other photos in there too – boohoo!) so you’ll have to make do with what I have here 🙂

I wish I didn’t have to rush this “review” out, and I almost never showcase 2 items from the same brand back to back. This time, I am constrained to, as I’ve gotten so many questions about it, which means there is definitely a demand for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Palette. My fingers couldn’t keep up with all the questions flooding me on Instagram LOL!

This is the palette in question. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit palette, that is named “Unlocked”. It boasts 6 brand new shades of finishing powder, bronzer, blush and metallic strobe powder, and it is the first 100% vegan palette by Hourglass. This is in line with their commitment to go cruelty-free and vegan by 2020. Kudos to them!

But what surprises me is that we will be seeing another Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit palette pop up next month. Considering that these palettes are limited edition items, it surprises me that Hourglass will release 2 similar palettes so close to each other (granted colours are different).

But here are some quick thoughts I have about this Hourglass Unlocked Palette, having used it a grand total of 2 times LOL! So, cast your eye a little warily, because this isn’t an in-depth review ok? 😀

Reflect with the Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow if you love a bit of shimmer and shine

I opened up this week’s blog posts with a hefty tome didn’t I? (Did you read it? Was my effort wasted? LOL!) Well, let’s lighten things up with, hopefully, an easier going focus subject – the new Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow.

The conventional “rule” society sets, is that women above a certain age shouldn’t wear glitter eyeshadow. Problem is, they never really tell us what that “certain age” is, and I also don’t see why anyone should dictate my choice of eyeshadow.

The most common reason why older, or more matured women, may not want to wear glitter or shimmery eyeshadow, is because shimmer and glitter may settle into the fine lines around the eyes, and that does not look good. Age has nothing to do with it, the condition of the skin around your eyes do.

Personally, I do wear shimmer shadows still, and I’m practically over the hill! 😀 So, it was opportune therefore to give the new Hourglass Scattered Glitter Eyeshadow a go. If you love shimmer (not so much glitter) you will love these!

A skincare routine should not be complicated : Focus on the 6 Pillars of Skincare

how to plan a skincare routine

♥ © Copyright of My Women Stuff Original Full Post is found here: A skincare routine should not be complicated : Focus on the 6 Pillars of Skincare

I mentioned once before that we are in the Age of Skincare in the beauty world, and with it comes many self-proclaimed experts. Rather, sometimes, people confuse enthusiasts, like me, with an expert, which can lead to all sorts of problems.

But what I’ve really noticed, from following such experts and enthusiasts, it’s this – A skincare routine is now made out to be far more complicated than it used to be.

skincare is not complicated

But it doesn’t have to be.

I’m not saying of course, that the original 3-step skincare routine popularized by Clinique should be the way to go. While those 3 steps form the basic pillars of a skincare routine, I do believe that they can be supplemented and further strengthened by additional pillars.

I just don’t believe that you have to think so hard about it, nor believe that a complicated, multi-product, multi-layered skincare routine will be the best thing for your skin 😛

I love the Melano CC Intensive Anti-Spot Essence so much I almost did not want to tell you about it!

I’d been debating for a while whether to spill the beans on one of my favourite Vitamin C serums to date. On the one hand, there are some things I’d like to keep to my self, hugging it to my chest with a sly smile, knowing it’s my little secret. On the other hand, I’m a damn blogger, prone to sharing LOL! So, I guess I’ll tell you about the Melano CC Intensive Anti-Spot Essence.

Melano CC, from what I understand, is a Japanese brand under the Rohto-Mentholatum umbrella (the same one that houses Hada Labo). If I’m not mistaken, they only have one range, which focuses on the use of Vitamin C.

I remember someone telling me about it once, a few years ago. It wasn’t until I came upon it in a pharmacy that I decided to pick one up to try. Yes, Melano CC is found in pharmacies (or drugstores) in Japan and in some other countries (but not yet Malaysia, unfortunately! So read on at your peril)

Innisfree Auto Eyebrow, Brow Master and Skinny Brow pencils – Cheap as chips!

innisfree brow pencils

♥ © Copyright of My Women Stuff Original Full Post is found here: Innisfree Auto Eyebrow, Brow Master and Skinny Brow pencils – Cheap as chips!

I recently shared my favourite brow pencil that I toted all the way back from Japan. It is one of the latest in a long line of brow pencils I’ve been going through over the years. Prior to that, I practically swore by the Chanel brow pencil and got my family members hooked on it too.

Then, I was told by a friend that Innisfree had a brow pencil similar to the Excel one, so I trotted off to the store to have a look. Well, I didn’t know that Innisfree had so many different types of brow pencils! So, in the interest of experimenting, I took a few home with me.

While I’m not the biggest fan of Korean makeup, I am aware that the Koreans have been setting brow trends for a few years now. So, if anyone should know their brows, they should! I also decided to splurge and grab a few different types, because I couldn’t believe the prices! LOL 😀

I guess you could say I experienced negative sticker shock – I was shocked at how affordable… nay! Cheap! the brow pencils were! Do bear in mind of course, that I last splurged RM160 on one, so trust me, Innisfree is far far below that. But importantly, how much do I like (or hate) these Innisfree brow pencils? 🙂
